The Tiny House Movement:

The tiny house movement has become very popular in the last few years as people have been looking for ways to find affordable housing and live a simpler lifestyle.  Tiny house also merges with the off the grid lifestyle as many people want to have a sustainable lifestyle without the additional cost of utilities.  Since tiny houses can be built on site or on a trailer chassis similar to an recreational vehicle (RV) many people want to build them out in the country where they can find land cheaply and is easier to live an off the grid lifestyle.  Tiny houses can range anywhere from 100 square feet to a maximum 500 square feet as they are generally mobile and will need to be moved to their location on a trailer chassis.  They usually cannot be more than nine wide due to limitations of the trailer chassis in that it will need to resist heavy winds while traveling from location to location.  Some people build tiny houses from a cabin kit or will modify a pre-fab shed or buy tiny house plans or have a pre-made tiny house built for them.  There are many options to explore based on your budget.  Many tiny houses will passive and active solar features with solar collectors, solar hot water heating with electricity being provided by a generator and battering back to that is run by solar power with gasoline backup to be used on cloudy days.  These homes will have their own compostable interior toilet, shower, water tank and a full kitchen.

Simplicity of life in the main reason many people are embracing the tiny house movement. People who downsize from a larger home and into a small or even a tiny house experience the following benefits:

•Less time cleaning.

•Less time maintaining the house.

•The monthly bills are all cheaper.

•It feels cozy and easy to manage.

•It’s better for the environment.

A smaller home can save you time and money. Living simply can lead to unexpected opportunities later on because you’ll have more resources (time and money) because of your decision to live small. The possibilities are endless as its about decluttering your life.

The tiny house movement is making it possible by creating more affordable housing everywhere which will help you to simplify your job or business duties, relationships, meals and your attitude on life.
